our first call.
A little over a year after the start of the Pandemic, Valentina and Luca were grappling with the problems deriving from this devastating period.

June 2021

A silence of 2 months.
In this period I have only tried, discreetly, to make him feel that I was there. My first thought was not to invade an already complex situation, to respect their times.

July 2021

I became Valentina and Luca’s Wedding Planner.

We met in Gerfalco, they from Liguria and I from Rome. The only certainty of the moment is the Abbey of San Galgano for their rite.

We made the first site visits together which did not lead to great prospects. We continued searching the ideal place, they were on site and I was online from Rome, making last minute appointments and continuing with video conference visits. In the meantime, I have noticed a location that I decided, despite its beauty, to look at last because I had the impression it couldn’t fit within their budget.

Instead Villa Le Querce was our lighthouse. It was love at first sight with the location but above all with the wonderful family that owns the villa itself.
From here the Dream of this wonderful couple has started, coloured by wildflowers, embellished with a Stationery created by a wonderful calligrapher artist, party favour made with wines from a cellar of family friends, from the affection of all the people who they were there with them to finally celebrate a great love.

PEREPPEPEPPEPE’E’E’E’E’E’E’E
I am not crazy but I am just a Wedding Planner who will always remember this sound and the wonderful smile of Valentina when the doors of San Galgano opened.

Few days before their wedding, Luca called me (beware of the future grooms who are quiet for all the planning because they have their cartridge to shoot at the last) asking me to be able to recreate the sound of a Clarion, a Medieval trumpet, to be played at the entrance of the Bride.

I saw my carrier end there!

Luca, take on all responsibilities!

Imagine the scene: the emotion of a dad and a bride who are about to cross one of the most evocative places in the world, believing they are excited to the sound of the Canon in D Pachelbel and instead comes the PEREPPEPEPPEPE’E’E’E’E’E’E’E .

We Did It!

It was the most original, exciting and meaningful entrance I have witnessed to date. That sound, reminiscent of a game played with friends in carefree moments, lit up Valentina’s face with a wonderful open and liberating smile, a smile that said to Luca: “We Did It!!!

Hence a riot of emotions, joy and colours, from the altar to the imperial tables an invasion of wildflowers and large chandeliers illuminated a wedding that, after so much time and so much effort, deserved to shine.

While I’m writing this blog, I send a message to Valentina who answers me like this:

“It looks like it was centuries ago, sometimes behind what it seems like a nightmare there is wonder.
Definitely this thing teaches that also, and above all, the difficulties need to get where you want. Without “HER” we would not have come to YOU!”

A special thanks to San Piccione (this however is something that remains all ours)

I love you “Friends”

Simona
